The 2025 Unison Great Lake Taupō Business Awards are about to get underway.
The Taupō Business Chamber will officially launch the 2025 Unison Great Lake Taupō Business Awards, the region’s premier celebration of business success, innovation, and leadership.
Supported by Taupō Airport and Originair, the launch event is designed to inspire local businesses to get involved, learn about the benefits of entering, and register their interest on the night to be in the draw to win a fabulous prize.
This year’s Awards bring a fresh approach, with Michelle Caldwell joining as Awards Convenor, bringing decades of experience in business, events and tourism marketing to the role.
In a new initiative, the awards will provide greater accessibility and support to entrants through a series of on-demand webinars, replacing traditional in-person workshops.
The pre-recorded online sessions will guide businesses through the entry process step by step, offering practical tips and advice on how to present their best selves to the judges.
Unison returns as naming rights sponsor, continuing its support of Taupō’s business community.
Seven categories will be contested in 2025, with the highly sought-after Overall Business of the Year Award proudly sponsored by 2Degrees.
Beth Aldridge, the new General Manager of the Taupō Business Chamber, says the Awards are a great opportunity for businesses to reflect, grow, and be celebrated.
“This is about shining a spotlight on the amazing things our local businesses are doing every day – their innovation, their resilience, and their people.”
The Gala Night is already shaping up to be one of the highlights of the business calendar, with a growing number of local businesses jumping on board as sponsors and supporters.
